Visiting Wales alone for the first time was a journey I can't seem to forget. Days before my trip I had sorted out from research, the shots I planned to make and made sure I checked everything through and through including my gear. The morning when I left home, I kept saying am going to be fine and its only for a couple of days but once I got on the coach I was like oh crap there wasn't any turning back.
After arriving in Newport Wales, it was sunny, it started raining, not long after then there was hailstones. Typical British weather. I ended my evening with a beautiful sunset from my sister's house where I stayed. I had quick a tour around the city centre and ended up having a spontaneous haircut too which I loved. I went to the transporter bridge and a couple of parks but for some reason I decided not to pick up gear. I think it was worth it because for one's I was able to admire the beautiful scenery and another sunset from the lighthouse( Newport Wetlands)
After arriving at Newgale, Pembrokeshire around noon and was greeted by a foggy and misty weather. I stayed in Newgale for a night and the locals I met there where helpful especially the drivers. A fun fact, there are no Ubers. Just normal taxis and if you ever plan on visiting just make sure you have enough money on you because I don't think I saw any cash machines around. The weather wasn't in my favour that evening because the rain poured down and could not risk my gear any longer as it got really wet while I was out. Glad I went out as soon as I got there in the afternoon. I left the following morning to Pembroke Dock to catch the arriva train back to Newport. I carried my gear in a classic backpack made by Gaston Luga. I think the bag did a good job keeping my gear safe because at first I was slightly worried about the rain soaking the bag when I checked, the inside was dry.
